Hai Media Group’s Director Lisa Devaney is now a trainer with Pinnacle PR, the world’s largest specialised international public relations training company, offering introductory and advanced seminars in public affairs, media relations, crisis communications, event organisation and more.
Devaney is offering full and half day seminars for PR 2.0 training, helping participants from Europe, the Middle East and Africa, understand how to approach and use the Web for public relations campaigns. Her course is influenced by the teachings of Brian Solis, Beth Harte and other leading PR 2.0 professionals. The course looks at the pros and cons of online communications and provides strategic insight for “future-proofing” business communications. The course also provides instruction on using online tools, finding resources, as well as basic skills training for using social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin for business.
As millions of people increasingly use the Internet to communicate, businesses are looking to craft appropriate ways of connecting with key stakeholder audiences online, and looking to experienced online communicators to avoid pitfalls. As of summer 2009, more than 250 million people are members of Facebook, and more than 33 million are using Twitter, two of the most popular social networking sites. Devaney shares case studies with course participants, taking a look at some of the blunders, as well as the successes, companies are currently having online.
Pinnacle PR has attractive training facilities in London, Brussels, Dubai and Bahrain, and each location is fully equipped for presentations, and media relations on-camera training. Seminars are kept to a limited size to create an engaged learning environment, with participants asking questions throughout the courses. The seminars include hands-on workshop sessions that put new skills into action, and best prepare participants for real world public relations issues. All of Pinnacle PR’s trainers are senior public relations professionals, who have real world working experience, and continue to work in the industry.

HMG has teamed up with media partner Isabella Hu, of Ecolocate, a design consultancy, to develop the seed idea for an integrated promotional campaign to support Littlewoods, a popular online shopping site for fashion and housewares. We’ve presented the judges with our Rare Fruits concept, that invites customers to pick rare fashion fruits of popular brands from the branches of trees growing on islands. The virtual world concept wraps around what we’ve already been told about Littlewoods new branding initiatives to build excitement with a television commercial involving a desert island, scheduled to be aired in the 2008 holiday season.
Among our mentors for this experience will be 4talent (an innovation arm of the broadcaster Channel 4), Aegis Media, Just-b (the hosts of bTWEEN08) and Littlewoods.
We join other finalists to develop our seed ideas into a full proposal for the client, during a conference workshop, and find out Friday, 20th June 2008, if our Rare Fruits campaign is a winner. We are thrilled to be joining our digital creative peers for bTWEEN08, and hope we have a good chance at winning the cash prize of £5K.
